The Tivoli.

The Tivoli was built in 1917 and restored in Art Deco style. ‘The art deco style Auditorium with mezzanine holds 1,500 standing or 700 seated patrons’ (The Tivoli 2013). ‘The Tivoli Theatre is renown for its great warm sound and consistent production standard’ (The Tivoli 2013).

To play at this venue you would need a large following or try and contact the venue about being a support for a touring band.

‘Due to sound restrictions Monday to Friday sound checks must commence from 5pm’ (The Tivoli 2013). ‘FOH sound level must not exceed 110DB C weight’ and ‘monitor and stage check from 12 noon’ (The Tivoli 2013).

The Hi-Fi.

‘The Hi-Fi in West End was purpose built in 2009 with a multimillion dollar renovation’ (The Hi-Fi 2013). ‘The design boasts unparalleled sight-lines and world-class sound and lighting facilities’ (The Hi-Fi 2013). ‘Located in the heart of West End, the venue is close to the city centre, easily accessible by public transport and located in a rapidly growing precinct with a strong community culture’ (The Hi-Fi 2013). ‘The area is split over two levels with the mezzanine capturing a birds-eye view of the main floor which hosts some of Australia’s and the worlds biggest touring artists’ (The Hi-Fi 2013). The venue has a total capacity of 1200 for live music.

Brisbane Powerhouse.

‘Brisbane Powerhouse is both a producer of contemporary performing arts and a multi-arts venue’ (The Powerhouse 2013).
